so my life was kind of nuts yesterday.
{i even have a whole entry i'm still debating sharing ... or pasting directly into my journal.}
but, literally, something blew up and someone got shot last night -- so breaking news didn't help my already awesome blogging skills.

anyway. BestFriendFriday.
MISS BONNIE.

Photobucket

Bonnie and I are seriously sisters from different Misters.
We think alike ... we act alike ... we were raised alike.
When we met it was so funny because we could tell we were so alike -- so when our respective leases ran out...we decided to be roommates (we both have jobs so stressful that it's better for our mental health that we be able to come home and not just be alone...plus it's safer...so I don't die at the young age of 23).
So I introduce you to Bonfire.

how did we meet?
At church... not very exciting, but that's just that.
(That's true. I pretty much adopted her on sight because, well, I've been the new girl--and it's no fun. Plus she's fabtastic and I knew we needed to be friends.)

what's your first memory of us?
they're kinda lame on my part... I remember being introduced to you at FHE when you were kinda frazzled and tired, and I remember you crying through my first Relief Society lesson... I was so overwhelmed when I first moved here... I don't know! :/
(Which is awesome. Because I don't cry all that often...but I do remember bawling through that. And I remember that FHE--again, breaking news = crazy eyes on my part.)

what's your favorite memory of us/adventure we've had?
Oh there are so many that tie... but I think the winner is us huddling together for warmth and sharing an iPod to drown out the teeny-boppers in the background while sleeping on the hardest ground possible on the night before us fighting the birds for muffins in very large PJ pants after the funniest game of 'I Never' to date! Questionable sexual orientation of sock puppets? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? :)Wait... wait... no. It was just trumped by Siovhan's 'Real Men of Genius' spoofs! I haven't laughed so hard in a while! :)
(Hahahahah. Sometimes I have genius ideas ... like creating jingles to describe people in our lives. And that camping adventure...was one for the books. My iPod was the best idea of the evening.)

where are you living right now?
with the most fantastic roommate ever! My tiny dynamo rocks!!
(Aw...yeah. I didn't even bribe her to say that.)

what's your favorite food?
it depends on the genre... I'm part Italian, so food is pretty much life!
(to italians, food=love. so she feeds people...a lot.)

what's your favorite color?
Blue... any shade really... But I love colors in general. Infact, I have a blanket that I made that has been nicknamed 'the color explosion.'
(Her closet -- predominantly blue. And that blanket is every color known to man. Serious.)

what's your most used word?
"For the love!" of Pete... of all that is holy... It varies...

what's your favorite movie?
Again, this is tough. Movies are my addiction, so picking one is freakishly difficult... hmmmm...I'm going to have to go with the extended version of Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring. It's brilliant.
(She almost shanked me when she realized I still hadn't seen all of them.)

movie you can recite from heart?

Did I mention that movies are my addiction? I'm pretty much a parrot and can spend hours talking entirely in movie quotes. Take your pick. There aren't many that I can't recite by heart! Sad, but true.
(We spend a lot of our time one-lining it. Eh, Pacha?!)

what's your favorite thing to do in/with your spare time?
I love water! I would be at the beach, the river, the lake... It's so peaceful and relaxing... sigh... But let's be real... I'm usually on the phone or doing chores, because I'm a boring grown-up. Sad.
(Bonnie girl hearts the phone. But we try to escape to the ocean every now and then.)

if you could trade lives with anyone for a day who would you chose?
I would love to spend a day in the life of an archaeologist who studies Mayan ruins on the Yucatan. That would be incredible! crawling around ruins in the jungle all day... amazing!

if you could vacation anywhere in the world [free of cost] where would that be?
Italy!!!! A thousand times over!!!! There's so much history there, and the food would be amazing!!!!
(We're contemplating planning a trip. Maybe even taking my dad to interpret for us. What. Up.)

what is your favorite comfort food?
This sounds very weird, but I'm going with vegetables and cheese sauce! I love it so much!!! I had it all the time when I was a kid... mmmm... I need to make that sometime soon...
(Dang. Now I'm hungry. P.S. She still hasn't made it.)

what's your favorite quote?
at the moment, along side pretty much anything Neal A. Maxwell has ever said, I'm going to go with these two that tie for the moment...

"courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, 'I will try again tomorrow.' - Mary Anne Radmacher

"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense." -Emerson

(We have magnets of both of these on the fridge. Emerson is one of my heroes. Seriously, the man was a flipping genius. And Miss Radmacher must have been in the news or hospital business.)

what things do you just absolutely love right now?
Chocolate peanut butter ice cream, the Gospel, my very best friend, my mom and rain. And did I mention before that I have the best roommate ever? ;)

what do you want to be when you grow up?
old, happy and still able to laugh at myself and at life... and to hopefully be able to remember where I left my dentures and/or hearing aid! :)
(What? Speak up, sonny! I hope she can find them too...she'll need them for all the havoc I plan on wrecking with her later in life.)

So that's Miss Bonnie.
She's hysterical. Super super super chill. And one of the most wonderful people I know here in Eugene. I'm glad she decided to live with me ... it makes adventures much more convenient.
