So sometimes at work I begin a task and then it gets interrupted, thereby completely wiping the task from my mind. I can't even begin to count the number of times a day I say/think to myself, "Now...what was I doing." And sometimes thoughts begin to run through my head that seem to have no relation...but somehow to me they make sense.

As I watched one of my favorite episodes of Gilmore Girls I identified with Lorelai when she said this (she needed to write a letter of recommendation):

"Because my brain is a wild jungle full of scary gibberish. I'm writing a letter, I can't write a letter, why can't I write a letter? I am wearing a green dress, I wish I was wearing my blue dress, my blue dress is at the cleaners, the Germans wore grey, you wore blue Casablance, "Casablanca" is such a good movie, "Casablanca" the white house, Bush, why don't I drive a hybrid car?, I should really drive a hybrid car, I should really take my bicycle to work, bicycle, unicycle, unitard, hockey puck, rattle snake, monkey monkey underpants."
Ahhhh. My soulmate. Or at least brainwave mate.

  1. Is that why Grandma can find her shoe in the refrigerator and I can find a can of peaches on top of the dryer (right next to the food storage shelves)? You know: go to the area where you need to go, see a task that needs attention, put down the object you went to get. Take care of the item that needs attention, i.e., milk goes in fridge (so does shoe), clothes are folded with two hands, free of other objects (like peaches).
